As a hanging company operating worldwide, Picture Superstore has a responsibility to look after the environment for future generations.
The environment is at our heart. We believe that we all should take part in saving our planet by doing our bit by reducing waste and replacing plastic with biodegradable and recyclable materials.
From January 2022, we have started to replace plastic packaging we use with more eco-friendly alternatives, which are 100% recyclable and biodegradable. As we will not be using plastic parcel tape you will be able to recycle shipping boxes as they come.
Everyday we talk to home owners, businesses, schools about their exciting hanging projects. That’s why we know that our customers prefer right-sized, eco-friendly packaging that minimises waste and ensures damage-free delivery. We’ve been working to reinvent and simplify our sustainable packaging options to make them safer for the environment.
Eco-Friendly Shipping and Product Packaging
At Picture Superstore, designing packaging starts with the customer and works backwards. Unlike traditional retail stores, products bought online don’t need the excess packaging and plastic materials used for displaying products on store shelves, such as twist-ties, bindings, and clamshell casings.
Our green bubble wrap is entirely biodegradable, compostable, and recyclable. It is manufactured with additives blended into the resin which ensure the product degrades down quickly if it ends up in the landfill.
When exposed to sunlight, heat, moisture and microbes, this bubble wrap will degrade to the basic elements of CO2, H20 and Biomass. We are committed to converting our hanging product packaging into eco-friendly alternatives. It means you will be able to throw it into your bin knowing that it will turn into biomass.
