The Hexagon Slider offers the most affordable and universal way of hanging pictures and artwork with a picture hanging system. Its hexagon-shaped head provides an optimal movement inside the rail. Please note that it is impossible to slide it if any weight is applied to the wire. ARTITEQ Hexagon Slider Hanging Wire has 2mm diameter and takes up to 20kg of weight. The Hexagon connects to the system from either end of the rail or rail chain.

Transparent nylon
ARTITEQ Hexagon Slider Hanging Wires are mode out of perlon. But what is perlon? Perlon is another name for a type of nylon called Nylon 6. Most military watch bands are made of nylon, but Nylon 6 is slightly different from most nylon forms. Ordinary nylon is made by taking materials and condensing them together to form solid fibres that are then woven together to make the finished fabric. Nylon 6 is made by linking together materials into a tight chain, resulting in higher tensile strength fibres. This is a fancy way of saying that it takes more force to rip a piece of Nylon 6 apart than it does to tear other types of nylon.
How to use
The Hexagon Slider Wire is compatible with all picture hanging systems we offer. It is connected directly to a rail such as the Click Rail or with Cylinder Hook (pictured below) to a rail such as the Classic Rail. It also works great with Partition Wall Hooks (pictured below).

ARTITEQ Hexagon Slider Hanging Wire is available in 5 lengths. If too long for your picture hanging system, it can be easily trimmed with scissors. You can also coil it and attach it to the back of your frame if you need a longer one in the future. The wire is 2mm in diameter and excellent for hanging artwork up to 20kg. We recommend connecting two wires per frame for larger or heavier art pieces. This will provide better stability and double the maximum weight limit to 40kg. With two wires, it is also easier to level your artwork horizontally.
