How to Use the Mini Hook
Adjusting and securing the Mini Hook requires only a few quick steps:
– Loosen the side thumb-screw by turning it counter-clockwise (do not unscrew it completely).
– Thread the bottom of the wire through the vertical channel in the body of the hook.
– Slide the Mini Hook vertically up or down the wire until it reaches your desired display height.
– Turn the side thumb-screw firmly clockwise by hand. The screw clamps down directly onto the wire, securing the hook firmly into position.
– Carefully lower the hanging bracket or wire of your picture frame onto the curved front lip of the hook. Gently let go, verifying that the weight is securely settled.
– If the frame sits unevenly, slightly loosen the thumb-screw to adjust the height up or down a few millimetres, then retighten.
Gallery Safety Note
For wide frames or items approaching the 4kg limit, using two wires and two Mini Hooks (one on each side of the frame) distributes the load evenly, keeps the artwork level, and enhances overall stability. Ensure the combined weight does not exceed the maximum load rating of your overhead track.
