ARTITEQ Micro Grip Hook

The Micro Grip Hook is adjustable and can be used to hang frames/panels onto a suspension system on a wall. The mechanism is self-clamping meaning that clamping increases in force with higher loads. Unlocking the clamping mechanism allows the Micro Grip to be vertically adjusted on the wire.

Why to use Micro Grip

ARTITEQ Micro Grip hook represents the newest generation of hooks. A high-quality plastic reinforced with fibreglass was chosen for this hook, leading to a 70% reduction in the use of materials compared with previous generations of ARTITEQ hooks. In addition to the ecological advantages, the hook is extremely lightweight as a result and very easy to use. Micro Grip hooks are strong and ergonomically designed. They can hold up to 20kg of weight, and can be used with any perlon or steel wires.

Hanging pictures using Micro Grip

A frame or panel of your picture can be hung from one or two wires. Either one centrally placed Micro Grip behind the frame or two Micro Grip hooks, one on each side (both an equal distance from the middle of the frame). Frames are more stable when hanging from two wires (particularly large frames). The wires must be levelled vertically.

Fitting a Micro Grip to a wire

■ Use a Micro Grip with ARTITEQ 2mm wires or rods only.
■ Pinch the control button and the hook’s housing together.
■ Insert a wire from the top of the Micro Grip until approximately 5cm of wire protrudes under the hook.

Setting a Micro Grip to the correct height

■ Always leave at least 5cm of wire protruding below the hook.
■ When making adjustments, remove the frame or support it the way there is no weight hanging on the Micro Grip.
■ Never press the control button if there is a weight hanging on the Micro Grip.
■ Pinch the control button and the hook’s housing together.
■ Slide the hook to the height you need.

Hanging a frame/panel to the Micro Grip

■ Hang the frame on a Micro Grip using D-rings or a wire on the back of the frame.
■ Do not use any sharp objects to fasten the frame to a Micro Grip.

10 year warranty

ARTITEQ offers a 10-year warranty on the Micro Grip and the wires to which they are fitted. In case of damage or wear and tear resulting from normal use during this period, ARTITEQ will replace the product at no extra cost.
